About This Project
From Zero to CCNA: A Beginner’s Field Guide to the Networking Jungle
📻 FZ2CCNA Radio:
Welcome to From Zero To CCNA — This site was born out of a simple but powerful idea: learning networking shouldn’t feel like decoding an alien language. Whether you’re completely new to the world of IP addresses, switches, and routers, or just brushing off the cobwebs for a second go at the CCNA — you’re in the right place.
My Mission (Why I Made This)
I created fromzerotoccna.com to be the kind of guide I wish I had when I first started.
No noise. No popups. No “Click here to download my free PDF, but first sell me your soul.” Just clear, visual, well-organized lessons that break down every CCNA exam topic — in plain English, with examples you can actually understand.
This isn’t some get-certified-overnight scheme. It’s a real study companion, built with care and fueled by curiosity.
✅ No sign-up required

Who Is This For?
- Students starting their networking career
- Self-learners and career changers
- IT support folks leveling up to networking roles
- Anyone who’s ever opened Packet Tracer, panicked, and closed it again
- Or just curious minds who want to understand how the internet actually works
If you can plug in a router and open a web browser, you can start here. No prior experience needed. Just curiosity, a few brain cells, and maybe a good cup of coffee.
What You’ll Find Here
Think of this site like your study buddy that doesn’t judge, doesn’t yawn, and doesn’t ask to borrow your notes.
You’ll find:
- Plain-English lessons on every CCNA exam topic
- Visuals and diagrams to help the info stick
- Real-world analogies (because explaining Ethernet cables using tacos just makes sense sometimes)
- CCNA-focused explanations, not random fluff
- A tone that sounds more like a human than a textbook
Right now, you can explore:
- Start Leraning
- The Anatomy of a Network
- Network Diagram Essentials
- Visualizing Cisco Networks
- Ready to see networking in action with Packet Tracer?
And I’m adding new lessons every week (today is July 11, 2025), until we cover the entire CCNA 200-301 v1.1 blueprint. So yeah — we’re going all the way.
Giving Back to the Networking Community
This project is my way of saying thank you to the incredible educators and creators who helped me when I was just getting started. Legends like:
- Jeremy’s IT Lab
- Keith Barker
- CertBros
- Wendell Odom
- Kevin Wallace
- David Bombal
- Practical Networking
- Christ Greer
If you’ve ever watched one of their videos and thought, “Ohhh… now I get it!”, you’ll feel right at home here too.
What Comes Next?
Each week, I’ll keep publishing new lessons, new visuals, and new topics, building brick by brick until we’ve got a full house of CCNA knowledge.
My goal is to cover everything in the official Cisco 200-301 exam blueprint — in a way that feels doable, digestible, and (dare I say?) even fun.
Soon you’ll also find:
- Practice questions
- Interactive diagrams
- Study maps
- Bonus walkthroughs for Cisco Packet Tracer labs
Packet Tracer Is it as good as a physical lab with blinking lights and real gear?
Not quite. Is it enough to prepare for the CCNA and build real confidence?
Absolutely.
Why “From Zero”?
Because that’s where most of us start.
And because starting is the hardest part.
So this site isn’t here to impress anyone. It’s here to guide you, cheer you on, and explain things like a friend would, not like a robot.
It’s here to prove that yes — you can learn this.
Join the Journey
If this guide helps you, please share it. If you spot a mistake, let me know.
If you’re stuck, keep going.
And when you pass the CCNA, don’t forget to celebrate — and maybe come back here and help the next person.
Welcome aboard. Let’s go from zero to CCNA, together.
